Amanda Owens founded The Modern Maid in 2003, starting with little more than determination and a trunk full of supplies. Guided by the old-fashioned values instilled by her parents and grandparents, Amanda combined her passion for cleaning with timeless tips to build a company focused on quality and care. Since 2010, we’ve proudly operated out of our office at 165 E. Winter Street, in the heart of historic Delaware, Ohio. Today, The Modern Maid continues to grow, blending Amanda’s commitment to eco-friendly cleaning with the same personal touch that started it all. Amanda’s husband, Jarrod, shares her dedication to hard work and family. He works with Cutting Edge Countertops, traveling Ohio to create precise countertop templates. Together, Amanda and Jarrod are raising two spirited boys who embody their family’s values of love, laughter, and community involvement.

Making a Difference with Cleaning for a Reason

We’re proud to be one of 1,200 cleaning companies across North America partnering with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit that supports cancer patients. Through this program, we provide two free home cleanings to patients undergoing active cancer treatment, helping them and their families focus on what truly matters.
